Northern Counties Match Week - Information for Spectators

A very warm welcome to Seaton Carew Golf Club in the Land of the Prince Bishops.
We are very fortunate to have such an excellent course for our competition this week and sincere thanks go to the Committee of Seaton Carew for hosting us this week. Whilst the course is flat and easy walking for the spectators, don’t be fooled into believing that it is an easy course to play!
Our thanks to the many sponsors, who have chosen to remain anonymous, this has made the running of the competition so much easier.
With the help of Officials, Referees, Catering Staff, Trolley Pullers, Spectators, and of course the Players, I am sure we will have a wonderful week.

Enjoy yourselves!

President DCLGA.

Car Parking

Unfortunately the golf club car park is not big enough to cater for spectators in addition to the competitiors and officials, therefore arrangements have been made for spectators to park in the Sports & Social club car park free of charge (see map). Also shown on the map is the Hartlepool Borough Council coach and car park where additional parking is available (at a charge).

Food and drinks for spectators will be available in the clubhouse from 07:30 until 18:00.
Refreshment and toilet facilities are also available adjacent to the 8th tee.

Protecting the Environment

Seaton Carew golf club is on a beautiful piece of land where many varieties of plants and wildlife may be found. Please watch your step as there are many rabbit holes on the course which can be difficult to see in the rough. Help us to protect the wildlife and plants by treading carefully, being aware that ground nesting birds such as terns and lapwings are in the area. If you want to see orchids they can be found on the right hand side of the 11th hole and there are other rare plants on the course too. Please do not pick any of these but leave them for other to enjoy as well.
